LAS VEGAS – Poker Palace in North Las Vegas is closing down shop, but not for long. New ownership acquired the licensing and will undergo a full interior and exterior remodeling of the 50-year legacy casino.
Pete McHugh, CCO of Truckee Gaming, wishes to improve the technology for the casino and implement better food options for patrons. McHugh and the rest of Truckee’s top brass believe the remodeling will keep Poker Palace competitive with other Nevada casinos in the North Las Vegas area.
The move will put over 100 employees out of work, but CEO Ferenc Szony says it’s a priority to have the casino workers back once the remodeling is finished. Some members of security and the administrative staff will continue their employment throughout the remodeling process.
The remodel will improve the main entrance, add extra parking and casino space, but also expand the kitchen area for improved dining options. In the meantime, local can enjoy online poker, slots, and more at the best legal casinos.
Truckee Gaming Awarded Poker Palace Licensing
According to the Nevada Gaming Commission disposition from Thursday. The application approval states that “Upon activation of the limited nonrestricted license, the licensee shall immediately cease all gaming operations at the establishment and shall not operate any form of gaming therein or thereon while the limited nonrestricted license is active.”
Truckee Gaming operates 10 other casinos in Nevada, but most of them are smaller locations in the northern Nevada region. Their most notable location is the Club Fortune Casino in Clark County, which has a 4-star rating with over 2,309 Google reviews.
