DAYTONA, Fla. – The Florida man strikes again, this time in Daytona, Florida, where police raided an illegal gambling operation and confiscated several slot machines as well as cash from the scene.
Police showed up to this illegal casino on April 14th with a search warrant, where they were met by the man who tried to keep them out of the property. Upon finally entering, they were met with over 70 casino games as well as $20k in cash that were all confiscated.
After the police arrived and their presence was known, there were about 20 people partaking in gambling inside, who took off running before being caught.
Of the 72 gambling machines that were taken from the site, 68 of them were Fire Link gambling machines, along with four Fish Table games.
The man charged, Willie Cord, was arrested and charged with operating an illegal Florida casino with charges including manufacturing, owning, storing, possessing, and selling slot machines. Cord was transported to Volusia County Branch Jail where his bail was set at $3,000.
